The SmartBox
is designed
to work the
Sony
PlayStation
platforms.
It is
compatible
with most
PlayStation
games. The
PlayStation
was chosen
as it has
the greatest
market
penetration
(over 120
million
units sold
worldwide)
and the
greatest
number of
game titles.
There are
currently
three
PlayStations
that can be
purchased.
The first is
the original
PlayStation
which can be
found used
in Game
stores or on
Ebay for
under $25.
The second
is the
PlayStation
One. The
PSone is a
small device
similar in
size to a CD
player. It
can no
longer be
found
new. It can
be attached
directly to
a
television,
or can be
purchased
with an
attached LCD
monitor
($150 for
PSone and
LCD
monitor).
The PS2 and
the new slim
design PS2
are newer
PlayStation
systems.
Only the
slim version
can still be
found new
and it
retails for
$129 and can
be similarly
attached to
a TV or LCD
monitor.
PSone games
can be
played on
either a
PSone or a
PS2. PS2
games can
only be
played on a
PS2.
Video games
for the
PSone range
in price
from $2 - $10
and can be
found used
at many game
stores and
online.
New PS2
games range
in price from
$20- $60.
Both PSone
and PS2
games can be
purchased
used at less
than half
price at
GameStop and
Electronics
Boutique
stores.
These stores
are found in
most malls
and other
locations
throughout
the country
including
online
through their
web sites.
The
difference
in game play
between
PSone and
PS2 games is
primarily
the quality
of the
graphics.
Both are
engaging and
a lot more
fun to train
with than
standard
neurotherapy
training.
The PSOne
appears to
be in a
phase-out
mode. There
are no new
titles being
produced and
older games
are becoming
less
available.
The latest
PlayStation
is the PS3.
At this time
the
SmartBrain
System is
not
compatible
with the
PS3. |
